Pensalda Guest House Terms and Conditions

  • We only accept bookings for adults over 18 years ofage
  • No room can be booked for a person or persons under 18years of age (ID may be asked for)
  • Children (under 18) must share the room with parents
  • Couples and families only. (No stag or hen parties orsingle-sex or mixed-sex groups)
  • Giving false information to secure a booking (bookinga family room for a group or making a booking for a person or persons agedless than 18 years of age or turning up with more people than the room allocatesfor example) will result in the booking being cancelled, access denied andall monies received being retained.
  • We do not accept third party bookings
  • We do not accept pets
  • Our prices are on a ‘per room’ basis
  • There can be no discount for a child sharing with asingle parent.
  • Maximum age for children in bunk beds is 16 years
  • There will be a nominal charge of £10 per stay foreach child under the age of 3 years when hiring our cot and cot bedding.
  • Guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum,especially after 11pm so as not to disturb other guests
  • Guests are not to bring any other guests onto the  premises without prior permission

Deposits and Balance:

A NON REFUNDABLE deposit equal to 1 nights stay per room is required to secure the booking.

The remaining balance (if any) is due on arrival in all cases. Full payment will be required for 1 night stays.


All deposits for reservations must be paid either by credit or debit card online or by telephone. Card details are securely destroyed after processing.

We will not accept cheques for any payment.

After credit/debit card payment has been taken, confirmation of the booking will be sent by email.

Credit/Debit card payments:

There is no charge for personal or business credit/debit card payments.


Guests must inform Pensalda of cancellation by telephone up to midnight 7 days before due date of arrival. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival date will result in all monies paid to Pensalda in respect of the booking being retained and the guest having to pay up to the full amount of the booking should the room not be re-let. Pensalda shall make every reasonable effort to re-let the room. The deposit shall be retained by Pensalda in all cases.

Guests who do not comply after being informed of the cancellation procedure or do not turn up on the due date will be informed in writing that if the room is not re-let then the deposit will be retained and offset against the loss to Pensalda and an extra sum will be added to make the total two thirds of the total cost of the original booking price. This extra sum will be charged against the guests credit/debit card if applicable, or an invoice will be sent out to recover the extra payment. A receipt will be sent to the said guest after payment has been made.

If booking is made through a booking agent, they will be informed of a no show and may attempt to recover monies owed on our behalf.

For one night stays where the full payment is taken in advance there can be no refund of any money paid to Pensalda.


Payment of balance will be due on arrival either by card or cash and a receipt will be given. No key will be given until full payment is received.

Cheques will not be accepted as payment of balance.


Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the premises. (This includes all electronic smoking devices.)

We have a Zero tolerance policy on smoking.

If guests are found to have been smoking in the premises, the guest or guests will be asked to leave and the booking will be terminated without a refund. (A £40 payment will be charged for deep cleaning).

Smokers and vapers are asked to smoke away from the main building and use the area at the front of the car park.(Please pick up your litter and use the sand bin provided for cigarette butts).


Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms or the furnishings, equipment therein or to the Guest House generally by any act, default or neglect of the guest and shall pay Pensalda on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage.

In the event of damage or losses being discovered after any guest has departed, payment to make good shall be taken from the guest’s card (if applicable) after the said guest has been informed of the fact and agreed to same.

Fire Extinguishers:

A £90 fine will levied for the unlawful discharge of any fire extinguisher or damage to same.

Loss of keys:

A £40 replacement charge will be made for the loss of keys.


Hot food must not be brought back to the room or delivered for consumption on the premises. This is to safeguard our bed linen and furnishings and prevent odours.

Checking in / out:

· Check in times are strictly 4 pm until 9 pm, (16:00-21:00) alternative times must be agreed at time of booking. Luggage drop off available before 4pm.

·Guests will be required to vacate their rooms by 10 am on day of departure.


There are a limited number of parking spaces available on our car park at the front of the building on a first come first served basis. (One car per room, vehicles parked at owner’s risk). Drive is unsuitable for large pickups or very large vans/campers. Free parking is available nearby on Godolphin way just a few seconds away in this case.


At the moment, Covid risk is low but please keep a good distance from owners and people not in your household

Guests must follow any guidance and signage given at the property for the safety of all guests and owners.

Any guest not adhering to the guidance or acting in a manner which threatens the safety of others will be asked to leave with no refund.

Any guest having to cancel their booking due to Covid will be offered a change of dates and the deposit paid moved to the new dates. Where this is not possible, a voucher for future use will be offered.

All information is correct at time of printing and may be adjusted in line with new legislation.
