We spent a lovely few days at the Pensalda Guest House. The room was very clean and well presented with coffee and tea facilities in the room.Karen, our host was very helpful and attentive.We had continental breakfast each day and parking was provided for the room, which made the whole stay much more convenient.

Everything you could wish for was provided beautifully from the first to last minute. Our room was impeccably presented including en-suite, tea/coffee, TV, USB sockets, WiFi, hair dryer, hanging and drawer space. An uncooked breakfast was included but for a small additional fee could be upgraded to a full English or in our case, sausage sandwiches! We also saw the family rooms which were recently upgraded and they looked superb. We would highly recommend Pensalda Guest House!

Very nice place, very clean, nothing to say about, quality/price is 1 to 1.Bad bits where I was a bit dissapointed:Breakfast included advert not very specific (the English breakfast you expect, you have to pay for) other wise you get a lots of other things free like juice,milk,cereals etc, but other than that was spot on.Owner is visiting your room when you're not in (understand that is the garbage cleaning ) but it would have been nice if you were informed in advance or by advert.Other than that nothing to say wrong about the place or the people.Nice and friendly peoples.

Thanks Florin, as booking.com isn't run by us, we are restricted as to how much we can say about breakfast. It doesn't say full English is included just breakfast. There is also information somewhere in the listing stating that there is daily housekeeping. All hotels do this to remove rubbish and clean but also to check the property for possible leaks or damage. Cooked breakfasts are charged to reduce waste.

A very enjoyable stay in the lovely garden room, even stayed for an extra night.Very clean and comfortable room and Karen was a lovely host.Bus stop was just opposite so could get the coastal hopper so I didnt have to drive which meant I could appreciate the lovely scenery and beaches.Would definitely recommend and would be more than happy to stay againThanks KarenChristine and Maria

The house is within walking distance from all the beaches and centres in Newquay. Very clean bedroom, and toilet with shower. the staff always cared for us to ensure we had the room always clean with fresh towels, tea and coffee !!! literally to the end of our stay !!! Very friendly Family business :) We enjoyed staying in your Guest House and will be back there on our next trip to Newquay!!!

We loved every bit of our stay at Pensalda Guest House over this long weekend. Our room was spotless really, so neat and clean, with a partial sea view and we had a delicious breakfast everyday, included in our package. Karen was so friendly and welcoming, always carrying a smile and she made sure our stay was nothing less than being at home! It is at an excellent location to the town centre and so nearby to the beach. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to our family and friends visiting. We were so so impressed with the accommodation, it was spotless! Super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for 5 days in Newquay. Excellent location to easily walk into town and close to the beach. Karen was friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile and on hand for anything you might need, as was her son James (I think I have the right name!) beautiful garden, large dining area for breakfast which our 3 year old loved. We couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to family and friends visiting. Thank you for a great week and making us feel at home:)

The family room was clean and tidy, it had clean towels, toiletries and bedding, and there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.There was a lovely garden area to sit out in.There was a good choice of cold items for breakfast included in the cost of the stay - cooked breakfast was an extra cost of £6 or £8.The only downside was the very heavy bathroom door, that springs shut quickly when you let it go - you wouldn’t want young children going in and out of the bathroom on their own.The owner was very friendly and the accommodation was well kept and looked after. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Been coming a few times.Love staying here.Karen is so welcoming.It is in walking distance of the beach and amusements.Free parking which is a godsend.Free Wi-fi. Continental breakfast is included aswell. Will be back next year.

Definitely we will back here, lovely place.Very clean room, very friendly atmosphere.Short walk to the beach and town centre.

Stayed two nights at the B&B, 5adults an 3children. Karen was very helpful from the initial booking. Parking onsite was convenient. Rooms were very clear, we enjoyed the sea view and the kids enjoyed the Rooms situated outside. It had a log cabin feel (also didn't disturb the other residents) and the b&b is within walking distance to Lusty Glaze beach an a short drive to city centre beach (towan beach). So we were pleased it was a reasonable price b&b close to local amenities. Great selection of breakfast included. Karen was very hospitable in the mornings. The b&b garden is very nice, loved the fish an beach feel theme. Karen and family (son/daughter) were very friendly and helpful when I needed use of the iron. We had a enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Great place to stay, the CLEANEST place we have ever stayed. Everything is so clean it looks brand new.The free breakfast included has so many options, or you can pay for a fry up, but there’s plenty to choose from.Only down sides are: the bed was uncomfortable so we didn’t sleep well.Friendly helpful staff.

Me and my partner had a very warm / welcoming stay over the last 2 nights. The hosts were lovely, the rooms were very clean and the location was perfect. We would highly recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to Newquay. We are already planning our next stay there in 2022. 5*

Arrived for 4 nights. Karen made us feel welcome we stayed in room 3 with a sea view the room was ensuite and was exceptionally clean, we had free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities in our room. We also had a car park space which was a bonus. In with the price was a continental breakfast but you could pay extra for a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Very modern and clean room with great service and a fantastic breakfast. Strongly recommended.

I have visited new quay with my daughter and we stayedat Pansalda guest house. We have enjoyed our trip. Our host Karen was really lovely. Guest house was clean and tidy. We were offered bed and breakfast . We have spend 2 nights. We slept like babies in our comfy beds. We both feel like the stay was too short. We should spend few more days here

It was a lovely 2 nights stay at Pensalda Guest House. The room was really good the house is located in a lovely place and really close to everything around Newquay on an actual walking distance! We arrived early and were able to check in. We had one of the garden rooms, which had a double bed, single bed, tea/coffee facilities and a bathroom. The room was very clean and well presented. We opted for the continental breakfast, which was more than adequate. The property is around a 15 minute walk from town, with the beach even closer. Very welcoming and friendly owners, if we decide to visit Newquay again, we would definitely stay here.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a fabulous time. Upon arrival we were instantly greeted by a delightful host who checked us in and showed us to our room. The room itself was clean with nice decor and a lovely little view of the sea. Both my partner and I slept incredibly well both nights and commented on how comfy the bed was. There was also a little booklet in the room with such things as restaurant recommendations and taxi numbers, which proved to be most helpful for us during our stay. Whilst the location is slightly outside of town, it is only a short walk of about 15 minutes or so to get tl bars and restaurants. I would 100% stay here again in the future.

Pensalda is run in a very friendly manner. It was great to get to know the host and breakfast was ideal every morning.The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Location is great for Newquay and Porth beaches! The stay was great value for money.

This a fabulous, family run b&b. Karen and her family have created a really welcoming environment. The bedrooms, communal areas and garden are all decorated and maintained to an extremely high standard. A continental breakfast was included in our room rate - a great selection of good quality ingredients.The best thing, though, was the "feel" of the place. We were made to feel most welcome. Very happy to recommend the Pensalda to anybody.

It was a quick weekend getaway for me, wife and my 15 month old daughter. Karen -owner and hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were at home. The room was spotless and so cozy. James has done a really good job (with the help of 7000 nails), updating the garden and the back rooms, gave it a cozy log cabin feeling with uninterrupted wifi. No noise, japanese themed garden was great. Free guest parking and 24hr cctv in operation. Private entrance.Full english breakfast (we had vegetarian breakfast- £6 per head per night) was amazing and very reasonably priced. There was also cofee machine and continental breakfast. We will definitely visit again if we come to Newquay. Me, Wife and daughter loved our experience there. Highly recommended.

Karen (the host and owner) was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. A variety of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries etc. Brilliant coffee machine. Karen was happy to cook English breakfast for anyone desiring it at a small extra cost. Also good breakfast.Location was just outside the town centre.Perfectly quiet at night. Also within easy walking distance of several beaches. Free parking for guests was great. Garden was lovely and well cared for. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. (Also being updated in time for next season)We would happily stay there again if we were returning to Newquay.

Fantastic family very warm and welcoming. Over the years I have been a Head Housekeeper in hotels and stayed in plenty, so I know about cleaning. Pensalda is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in rating 10 plus. As a solo female I felt really safe as well.

Pensalda is a really nice well placed b and b in Newquay. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay everything lovely and clean, breakfast was continental but nice and enough. Bathroom good, TV good, bed very comfy.

Stayed here for 6 nights, felt very welcome. Highly recommend staying here. Karen is very friendly, plenty of options for breakfast. We hope to see Karen again in the future. The price is amazing, really cheap compared to other places. Slept well in a clean and comfortable room. Thank you xx

My wife and I had a lovely stay in Pensalda house with our toddler for 3 nights.We were warmly welcomed by the owners and the room was spotless and comfortable with a lovely garden which our toddler loved to explore. Breakfast was nicely organised (porridge/breakfast bars) considering the current restrictions so all in all brilliant.

It’s the 2nd time for us to stay here and didn’t disappoint again , Karen was very helpful and friendly . We stayed in the annex room which was homely and clean with everything we needed . Only gutting thing was due to Covid restrictions we missed their amazing cooked breakfasts

Recently spent 5 nights here with my husband and 15 year old son. From the off it was a personal service & everytime I contacted Karen she was nothing but helpful. The rooms are spotless & the outside garden area is a pretty added bonus. The owners are helpful but not obtrusive. Great location & parking means that my family will return. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at Pensalda guest house for our weeks holiday. Karen was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. I mentioned our 10 year old liked tortoises and Karen bought Henry the tortoise to our room to show him. We also loved the dog Winnie. We stayed in room 7 the family room and it was clean, comfortable and met our needs. The accommodation is walking distance to Newquay Town centre it takes about 10 mins to walk in so ideally located. We would definitely recommend the Pensalda guest house. Thank you!

It is a great location as only 10-15 mins walk to the beach and into town. Would highly recommend to anyone taking a trip to Newquay and it was much better value than staying in a hotel. Loved everything about this BNB. Karen and her family are so lovely and welcoming and made me and my friend feel instantly at ease. It was great value for money, with a great selection of cereals and spreads for breakfast and beautifully cared for and decorated. First of all Karen and John are a fabulous couple who make you feel very welcome. The Room and whole house was extremely clean and tidy. We had clean towels daily and room was cleaned while we were out, breakfast was also very good and served promptly. The Guest house is around a 20 minute walk from the Centre of Newquay, which when Sunny is a enjoyable walk. This is the first time i had been to Newquay and it now won't be the last. Room was very comfortable for short stay. Breakfast limited but very tasty what was provided. Fruit and yoghurt would of been nice and the chance to choose different hot drinks or other items in the cooked breakfast on the 2nd morning. Other bed and breakfast we have stayed at check and offer more choices. Husband would of liked to be offered cereal 2nd morning but cooked breakfast just brought straight out. Need more flexibility.

This was our fourth stay at Pensalda in the last 3 years and I have never found a fault, Karen and John are lovely people, friendly but not intrusive and always willing to help if they can. We both enjoyed our stay.Everything about it, the room and the breakfast, was of a very high standard. Cleanliness was exceptional in our room and in the dining room.

Very clean in all aspects. Would rather the hand basin was not in the bedroom . The waterproof mattress cover was not comfortable to sleep on. It crumpled up and was quite rigid in places.. It also increased body heat ! This break was value for money and Karen & John were very friendly proprietors.

Stayed here for 6 nights,very welcoming and homely place, very clean and tidy.really enjoyed our stay .

On arrival we were greeted by Karen and John, Karen showed us to our room which was clean, tidy and well presented.Breakfast was always freshly prepared and there was a good choice of items available.Newquay town centre is 15/20 minutes walk away , and views over the cliffs 10 minutes away. Local shops also near.Would highly recommend and we will be returning next year.

This was our third stay at pensalda, this being our second stay this year, we had a lovely time, Karen and John are so friendly and only too happy to help if you need it. We stayed at Pensalda for 3 nights.This accommodation is very clean and tidy with free WIFI.We were treated very well and the staff were very friendly and helpful.The rooms were tidied/cleaned each day.We had a welcome pack of leaflets on places to go and see which was useful and interesting.There is a car park space for each room and this was available for us on each day.The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and chatty and knowledgable about the area.It is around a 20 minute walk into the main town centre, but the location of the Pensalda was reasonably quiet and out of the way of the hustle and bustle of town, so it suited us in that respect.I would recommend this accommodation for a short break in Newquay.

We spent a highly enjoyable 8 night stay, during which time we were made most welcome by Karen and John. They are a super couple who work hard to keep their guests happy. Karen cooked us some great breakfasts, which she kindly modified to suit our own requirements. Our room was regularly serviced and everywhere was kept clean and tidy. We were very sorry when the time came for us to bid goodbye as both Karen and John had been so kind and friendly. It is our intention to return again in the future, which should tell you why we have given this accommodation a 5 star rating.

Warm welcome, good value and clean, simple family room ideal for an overnight stay with our granddaughter.

Anyone planning to stay at Newquay, this place is worth considering. We did have to pay 30% of the total bill as we were staying for five nights, but the payment process was smooth. The owners Karen and John are very amicable and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive there. After settling the balance amount, we were our room; we stayed in room 1 which is located on first floor, overlooking the back garden. The room is very nice and tastefully decorated and it also has en-suite shower and toilet. Note that the wifi access is given for a one off payment of £2, so in case you want wifi, it's better to ask for it when you arrive and settle the balance payment. The breakfast is served between 8:15 and 9:00 although you can sit in the dining area after 9:00. Although we did find the timing was a bit early, it worked out better for us, leaving the entire day for us to look around. We did like the breakfast times when all the guests have breakfast pretty much at the same time and it adds a personal touch to your stay chatting to people staying at the B&B. Once you specify what you are having at breakfast, you are served the same food and quantity during your stay, which is the only point they can improve upon by asking everyday after breakfast is finished. The rooms are tidied every day so after you come back, you'll always find that the bed is made and cups washed, rubbish cleared. The room has a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities as well. There are five parking spaces at the front of the house but there must be other places if there were more than 5 cars. It is not allowed to bring takeaway food inside the room which is quite understandable. We received a warm welcome on arrival, we were shown to a beautiful clean room with an en suite.The breakfasts were lovely.The B&B is ideally situated for walking into Newquay and visiting the surrounding area.

Guest house was clean, the room was a good size and very nice. The owners were very friendly. Breakfasts were adequate and good. All in all a pleasant stay. The only downside is the location. About 25 min walk to the center of town.Would recommend others to stay there. :-)

A bit of a running joke with us is how good the shower is, for us we had no complaints, easy to use and powerful. Fabulous! Also the house was quiet at night which is great for me as I am a light sleeper.

Myself and my fiance stayed at Pensalda Guest House for two nights in August 2011 when we were guests at a wedding. We recieved a warm welcome from both of the owners. Our ensuite room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. We would recommend and would stay again if in need of affordable and comfortable accomodation in Newquay.
